Garrard County High School would like to officially welcome Ms. Alex Canada as one of our GCHS Family Consumer Science teachers!👏 Ms. Canada says, "As a former Golden Lion, this is a full circle moment! I am a recent graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. I am so excited to come back and teach our next generation of Golden Lions Family and Consumer Sciences. I know how wonderful the students are at GCHS and I can't wait to be a part of their high school journey. I will be getting married in May, so I will beginning next year as Mrs. Bowman. I can't wait for a great school year!"

GEAR UP was invited to the American Red Cross STEM Goes Red for women event at Eastern Kentucky University. Students spent the day hearing from professional women in STEM careers and participated various hands on activities.
Senior girls are encouraged to apply for The Central & Eastern Kentucky STEM Goes Red Carol Barr fund student scholarship. There will be five (one time) $10,000 scholarships awarded to girls pursuing a STEM related degree. Please see a school counselor or GEAR UP for more information about the scholarship.

Attn Students: Baseball Tryouts are scheduled for February 12th, 2024, from 4PM to 6PM at the SPORTS ZONE for students not involved in a winter sport. A current sports physical is required for participation.
Yesterday, Ms. Parsons E-Commerce Business Pathway was invited to Frankfort as one of the top 15 CTE grant recipients in 2023. Students presented to the KDE Board of Directors and met with several KDE employees.

Culinary Collaboration!👩🍳👨🍳 Garrard County High School's Culinary class had a blast hosting Camp Dick Robinson's Preschoolers in their cooking lab.
