Garrard County Schools officially welcomed students back this week, starting with an exciting Transition Day on Tuesday, August 13th. On this day, our Kindergarteners, 6th Graders, and 9th Graders had the opportunity to get a head start, meeting their teachers and getting familiar with their new environments before the full student body returned.
The following day, Wednesday, August 14th, marked the official first day of school for all students across the district. The halls of Garrard County Schools were filled with excitement as students reconnected with friends, met their new teachers, and began another year of learning and growth.
Staff members were eager to welcome students back from summer break, and the positive energy was felt in every classroom. The start of a new school year is always a time of big excitement, and this year is no exception. With a focus on providing high-quality education and creating a supportive, engaging environment for all students, Garrard County Schools are ready to make the 2024-2025 school year one to remember.
Check out some of the smiling faces that brightened our first days back! We look forward to the incredible learning opportunities and achievements that lie ahead.
