Eli Lamb

Garrard County Schools is thrilled to celebrate the outstanding achievement of one of our own, Eli Lamb, an impressive young archer from Paint Lick Elementary School. Eli, who has been a dedicated member of the Paint Lick Archery Team for the past two years, recently competed in the NASP Archery Championship Tournament in Daytona, Florida, where he showcased his exceptional talent and passion for the sport.

E. LambEli's journey with archery began at the age of four when he received his first bow. Since then, his love for the sport has only grown, and his dedication to improving his skills has led to incredible success. In addition to archery, Eli enjoys all things outdoors, including fishing, and is also an active participant in football and baseball.

At the NASP Archery Championship Tournament in June, Eli competed against the best young archers from across the country in both the Bullseye and IBO 3-D competitions. His performance in the IBO 3-D Competition earned him the  title of the 2024 NASP IBO Elementary Boy Champion, with an impressive score of 289. Out of 242 elementary boy archers, Eli placed first, hitting 19 of his 30 arrows as perfect bullseyes. Additionally, Eli placed third in the Bullseye competition with a score of 285, further solidifying his place among the nation’s top young archers.

Eli described how it was very exciting to win and felt great to achieve what he had been working towards all season. He says, “Getting to shoot with kids from all over the country was really cool and winning still feels so surreal.” Eli is looking forward to a new season and excited to see what the upcoming season will hold.

Eli LambEli's success is evidence of his hard work, dedication, and passion for archery. His achievements have brought great pride to Paint Lick Elementary School and the entire Garrard County community. As Eli continues to pursue his interest for the outdoors, his current plans include attending college after high school and working for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife as a conservation officer.
