Joy Arnold – Camp Dick Robinson & Lancaster Elementary School
Mrs. Arnold has been a valued part of the Garrard County Schools family for many years. She has faced the challenges of not having a home school. Instead, she has been the music teacher for both CDR and LES for several years. While this has been an adult challenge, it has allowed twice as many students to benefit from her love of music, her love of teaching, and her love of children.
Mrs. Arnold has provided her students with exceptional experiences in the world of music. Even students who didn’t know they liked music have experienced great fun and enjoyment in her class. Her depth of musical knowledge is second to none, and neither is her enjoyment of sharing that knowledge.
Mrs. Arnold has not only impacted her students, but her colleagues as well. It is not uncommon or unlikely that you might hear her singing “Happy Birthday” to one of her teammates. Just another example of how valuable she has been to our district.
