Garrard County Schools are excited to celebrate significant success on the recently released Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) results. Several schools across the district showed impressive growth, with improvements in key academic indicators. Notably, four schools saw substantial point increases in their overall scores from last year, showcasing the hard work and dedication of our students and staff. We're also proud to announce that GCS now has TWO Blue schools- reaching the highest "Very High" status!

📢Reminder: Garrard County Schools Hall of Fame nominations are open and can be submitted now through November 30th. Nomination forms can be submitted electronically using the link below or a hard copy form can be completed at the Garrard County Board of Education office. To be eligible, nominees must either be retired from Garrard County Schools (no active employees) or have graduated at least five years ago (no current students). A selection committee will review all nominations and inductees will be announced in March, followed by a Hall of Fame Banquet in April to celebrate their achievements. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize those who have made a lasting impact on our schools and community.

Garrard Middle School Football is hosting a semifinal game!👏🏈 Congratulations to the GMS Football Team on an impressive 8-0 season! A big thank you to our GMS administration for collaborating with the middle school Conference Commissioner to make this possible. This year is particularly special as the facilities, once shared with Garrard County High School, are now exclusively dedicated to GMS. Join us this Thursday night at Dyehouse Stadium as our Cougars take on Farristown at 6PM! The Foley vs. Caudill game will follow. Let’s go, Cougars!

Garrard County Schools and Lancaster Elementary School are aware of a post that is being circulated about a school named Lancaster School. That school is located in the United Kingdom, but we have notified local law enforcement so we can continue to monitor. Our SROs continue to be active and engaged in all our buildings. We will continue to work with law enforcement to maintain the highest level of safety possible.
