Thank you to UK Healthcare for visiting our Health Science classes at the ATC last week! They brought the METIman simulator, so students could have the opportunity to listen to lung and heart sounds. Guests from UK Healthcare attended to discuss their specialties and experience working with UK Healthcare.

The new Jumpstart Healthcare Program was developed by UK HealthCare and Bluegrass Community and Technical College. GC students who choose to participate will have additional dual credit options, scholarship opportunities and potential job offers upon graduation.

Garrard County Schools would like to welcome Mrs. Rebecca Meade as the new District MTSS and Behavior Coordinator! Rebecca Meade is currently serving as one of our Speech Language Pathologist within the Garrard County school district. Mrs. Meade has been serving Garrard County Schools for twenty years. Rebecca has experience and education in response to intervention strategies and resources and has participated in several training opportunities with our educational cooperative and the Kentucky Autism Center. Her interpersonal skills are extraordinary and she has a passion for Garrard County students. We are excited to welcome Mrs. Rebecca Meade to her new role in the GC district!

GCHS Girls and Boys Basketball teams are sponsoring a camp for younger players! You can register your player on the first day of camp, May 31st- beginning at 8:30AM. Cost is $35 for the four day camp, money can be paid on the first day of camp when registering (checks payable to GCHS).

Larry has been a high school special education teacher, a high school assistant principal, an elementary school principal, and a middle school principal. Holly Young joins the Garrard County Schools staff with 21.5 years of K-12 experience. Holly has been an elementary classroom teacher, a curriculum and instructional coach at both the school and district level, an administrative learning specialist, and a middle school assistant principal. We are excited to welcome Holly to the Garrard County Schools team.
