Today, we are celebrating Mrs. Lisa Middleton- Lancaster Elementary School's Principal. Congratulations to Garrard County High School's Job For America's Graduates (JAG) Program and Mr. Jimmie McCulley, for being recognized for exceeding the 6-of-6 Performance Outcome Standards for the Class of 2022. These standards include Graduation Rate, Employment Rate, Positive Outcome Rate, Full-Time Jobs Rate, Connectivity Rate, and Full-Time Placement Rate.
For the past five years, Mr. Jimmie McCulley has been guiding our students through the JAG program. Over 200 students have honed their leadership skills while collaborating with peers, local businesses, and the community. Tech Center Tuesday is here, and today were are highlighting our Pumpkin Pathology Project!🎃 Our ATC Health Science students put their diagnostic skills to the test with a fun twist! They designed pumpkins with various illnesses and created a case study presentation for each pumpkin. Students walked the "Pumpkin Pathology" to analyze, diagnose, and learn. A unique way to enhance their skills! #techcentertuesday
Nine acres of the Buckeye School Farm was planted with field corn this year, donated by Southern States of Stanford, KY. Thank you to Mr. Keith and Kevin Middleton for planting, maintaining, and harvesting our crop! Mrs. Parsons' AG students recently visited the farm and completed yield estimates, with the help of former GCHS AG Teacher, Mr. Ken Parsons. Check out this hands-on learning!🌽

Tech Center Tuesday is here! Our Garrard Middle School JAG students recently visited the ATC to learn about the different programs that would soon be offered to them. The students learned about the Engineering, Electrical, Auto, Carpentry and Welding programs and were able to tour their shops. Ask your student which program they like best! #techcentertuesday
Students in Ms. Roberts' Spanish I class at GCHS participated in Hispanic Heritage Month by learning about celebrations within the month as well as creating a mini posters about a famous Hispanic or Latino. Their posters were displayed for a Gallery Walk activity, and also to inform the school about some familiar or unfamiliar faces within the Latino and Hispanic heritage. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th until October 15th. Check out their work!
