March 20, 2025 – The Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA) has awarded a Level One Certification in its Academy of Studies to Mary Adrianne Davis, a dedicated member of the Garrard County Board of Education.
Mrs. Davis, a lifelong resident of Lancaster and proud Garrard County High School Class of 1968 graduate, has spent her career serving the students of Garrard County. Over the years, she has made a lasting impact as a teacher, principal, and central office leader, and now continues her commitment to education as a board member. Since joining the Board of Education in January 2021, she has remained focused on ensuring student success and being a good steward of resources to provide the best opportunities for all Garrard County students.
KSBA’s Academy of Studies provides school board members with ongoing professional development, equipping them with essential knowledge in areas such as school finance, superintendent evaluations, facilities planning, and student assessment. As board members advance in certification, they engage in deeper learning about budget planning, board effectiveness, and advocacy for public education.
“Mary Adrianne Davis’s achievement reflects her deep commitment to Garrard County Schools and the students we serve,” said Dr. Kevin Stull. “Her decades of experience in education, combined with her passion for lifelong learning, continue to strengthen our district and ensure we provide the best possible future for our students.”
The Kentucky School Boards Association, established in 1936, represents 857 school board members in 171 districts across Kentucky. As the leading advocate for public school boards, KSBA’s mission is to empower local districts through superior support, service, and training. For more information, visit ksba.org.
